Confirm units, scale, coordinates, sheet size and title information before reviewing detail. Validate that layers, lineweights, text and dimensions follow the project standard.
Review references and geometry
Resolve missing external references, duplicated geometry, unintended elevations and gaps that affect downstream use. Inspect blocks and reusable details for outdated or project-specific information.
Test plotting and exchange
Generate the intended PDF or print output and compare it with the source drawing. Package required references and fonts according to the delivery agreement, and confirm the recipient’s required DWG version.
Keep an audit trail
Record who checked the drawing, which issues were corrected and what remains accepted. A concise repeatable checklist helps teams improve consistency across different CAD products.
